Thyagarajaswamy’s compositions in concert in the premises of Ramalingeswara temple

Hemadri Music Academy organised ‘Eka vaggeyakara sangeeta sabha’ at Tenali town on Sunday evening in the premises of Ramalingeswara temple. In this music concert they have chosen the compositions of Saint Thyagarajaswamy.

As a part to promote the young talent the academy arranged the vocal concert of Anuvratha of Tirupati. She impressed the gathering with fine melodious and expressional voice.

Anuvratha commenced the concert with Thyagarajaswamy panchratna keerthana “Kanakana ruchira” in Varali ragam. She continued with other keethanas like “Sunana jeevana” in Khamas ragam, “Samajavaragamana” in Hindola ragam, “Appa Ramabhakthi” in Pantuvarali ragam and “Sarasasamadana” in Kapinarayani ragam.

Anuvratha excellently rendered the main item of the concert “Ramakatha sudha” in Madhyamavathi ragam. The excellent instrumental support rendered by Hemadri Chandrakanth on violin, K Aravind on mridangam and Santha kaladhar on Kanjeera added life to the vocal concert.

The organisers introduced a novel system to invite the review on their programmers for which prizes were declared for the best as well.  B Sainatha Kumar Reddy, Snigdhamohana, Dhruvana and Tarun were selected this month.

MVN Malleswari, H Sudarsana Sarma and MKN Sastry were on the dais for the brief meeting. The public opined that these programmes should continue in future to promote the culture and heritage in Tenali town.
