Damage to Hindu Temple in South Sacramento

The Sacramento Police Department received a call about hit-and-run damage to a Hindu Temple in South Sacramento.

The call came in at 6:31 p.m. and the incident happened at the 7700 block of La Mancha Way in Sacramento.

The person was inside the temple and called the police when they noticed the lights went out. The person then went outside to see what caused it and noticed damage to the building and lawn.

There were no injuries and the damage was minor.

There’s also no description of the suspect or vehicle involved.

The temple leader, Priest Swami Mahara, spoke to police via cell and said he doesn’t believe it to be a hate crime.
