INDORE: Madhya Pradesh Congress campaign chairman Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday offered prayers at Mahakal temple in Ujjain ahead of starting a Parivartan rally to announce party’s poll campaign.

Scindia, along with his wife Priyadarshini Raje and son Mahaaryaman, offered prayers at the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, where entry was prohibited for a brief period in view of the large number of Congress workers accompanying him.

Scindia will be addressing a ‘Yuva evum Kisan Aksorhs Rally’ – a gathering of youth and farmers highlighting the failures of the BJP government in the state and placing Congress and the better alternative in the coming elections.

This will also be the start of the rally, which under first phase till May 16, will pass through Ujjain, Indore, Dhar and Guna districts touching over a dozen assembly seats, including Indore (rural), Manawar, Gandwani, Sardarpur, Bamori and Guna.
