On PM Modi’s Davos agenda, showcasing Indian cuisine, doing Yoga, meeting global business leaders | Times Of India

Shortly after the PM’s arrival in Zurich at 5:30 pm today, India will host a reception at the Congress Center at Davos, the main venue of WEF. About 1,500 delegates are expected to attend.
*After this reception, PM Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation, at 10 pm.

 

*This will be followed by a round table dinner at 1 am, organized for an interaction with around 60 Global chief executives, including 20 Indian chief executives.

* These 60 companies, spread across 26 different sectors, cumulatively have a market cap of $3.3 trillion. Airbus group chief executive Dirk Hoke, Hitachi group chairman Mr. Hiroaki Nakanishi and WEF founder Professor Klaus Schwab, among others, have confirmed their participation in the dinner.

*Tomorrow, the PM will deliver a keynote address at the opening day of the WEF’s plenary session.

*After the plenary session, the PM is scheduled to have an interaction exclusively with Indian chief executives.

*In the afternoon, Modi is scheduled to meet the WEF’s 120-member International Business Council.

*At this meeting will be present the chief executive of General Motors Mary T. Barra, the chief executive of Royal Dutch Shell, the chairman of BASF and top officials from Nestle and JP Morgan Chase, among others.
