Develop spirituality, exhorts Sachidananda Swamy | The Hans India

Akiveedu: Mysore Datta Peetham Pontiff Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Swamiji said that human beings are degrading themselves for the sake of money and regretted that spiritual thinking has waned due to a change in people’s style of living.

While addressing the devotees at Datta Kshetram at Akiveedu on Friday, the pontiff said that there is a rise in crime rate and illegal activities in the society as a result of lack of spirituality among people.

He exhorted the rich sections in the society to contribute generously a part of their wealth towards charitable causes.

Expressing concern over the children going on the wrong path, the pontiff asked the parents to guide their children in a right way. He suggested the parents should try to instill service motto into children.

Later, the pontiff Sachidananda Swamiji distributed sewing machines to poor women. Undi MLA Vetukuri Venkata Siva Rama Raju, Datta Kshetram Trustees Kambhampati Krishnamurthy, Nandyala Sitaramaiah, Yarra Tata Rao, Kimidi Nagaraju and others participated in the preaching meeting attended by the pontiff.
