In the 400 year old temples of Vijaynagar remains an important slice of history – its temples. Built during the Nayak empire (1499-1763), these temples house colourful murals depict the Bhagavtham, one of the greatest Hindu texts.

The murals that hold so much of our history are now in dire need of restoration. Apart from the natural process of erosion, smoke from the lamps lit by devotees has also led to fading of the paint.
