Cheruvugattu temple Brahmotsavams from today | The Hans India
Nalgonda: Historic Jadala Ramlingeshwara Swamy temple of Cheruvugattu of Narketpally mandal in the district is being readied for annual Brahmotsavams, to begin from Monday. Temple authorities made elaborate arrangements for week- long celebrations.
Officials concerned expecting visit of 8 lakh devotees during the Brahmotsavams, particularly heavy rush during the celestial wedding of Lord Shiva with his consort Goddess Parvathi on January 24 night. Chervugattu is a well-known Shivite shrine in Telangana state. People believe that by praying to Swayambhu lord Shiva of Chervugattu all sorts of illnesses would be cured. As per the sentiments of devotees, if ill health persons sleep on hillock on 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 21 on no moon days will get cured by the blessings of lord Shiva.
Temple Executive Officer Sykam Anjana Reddy informed that all measures have been taken to conduct Brahmotsavams on a grand note. Special attention paid to provide drinking water and toilet facilities for the devotees. Separate queue lines were arranged to avoid any untoward incidents and LED screens have been erected for witnessing celestial wedding. District police have been deployed to maintain the law and order on temple premises, the Executive Officer added.
