Temple festival begins at Sri Mariamman Temple | The Hindu
With the hoisting of temple flag, the 15-day Masi festival of Sri Mariamman Temple commenced at Natham near here on Monday.
Special pujas were performed to the main deity and dhwajasthambam (flag-post). Special abishekam was performed to the Goddess.
Fire-walk festival will be held on March 14. This ceremony will attract pilgrims from neighbouring districts and southern States.
