Hyderabad: The serene ambience at Lalitha Kala Thoranam reverberated with different drum beats as the three-day national tribal festival, Aadi Rang Mahotsav commenced on Friday.
Departments of Culture and Tourism, Telangana, in association with National School of Drama, are conducting the national tribal festival.
On the inaugural day, artistes from different States performed different shows under the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’ of India. Over 600 tribal artistes from 29 States are participating in the festival and exhibiting different art forms. Apart from art forms, tribal artefacts, handlooms and handicrafts expo and seminars will also be conducted as part of the festival.
The event will be conducted from 6 pm to 9 pm and is open to all. There is no entry fee.
