Shivratri festival to be celebrated at Narmadeshwar temple from 15th
A grand Shivratri festival celebration would be organised at newly constructed Narmadeshwar temple under direction of Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati from February 15 to 24, 2017.
The Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati himself would reside in the Shankaracharya Kuti constructd at Ram Nagra. Swami Subudhdhanand said that entire campus has been cleaned after repairing of ancient Narmadeshwar temple and Yajnashala, three rooms near the Gaushala and Shankaracharya Kuti. A beautiful gate has also been constructed near the decorated campus. Ten day’s Navratri festival would be celebrated on the occasion.
Under the Mahotsava, Rudrabhishek would be organised every day, mass earthen Shivlinga making and Poojan would also be conducted by devotees. The famous story orator Shambhu Sharan Lata, would elaborate the Lokranjankari Ram Katha on the occasion. The saints from different parts of India would come to participate in this programme. It may be mentioned that Maha Rudra Yajna was conducted through out the year in past in 1960. The local residents are enthusiastic to participate in grand ten days religious programme being conducted at live Narmadeshwar pilgrimage. This place is emerging as new pilgrimage place for the residents of Jabalpur city. The devotees have been appealed to participate in this ten day’s Maha Anushthan.
