2nd International Ayuryog Film Festival kick-starts today in Ghaziabad to boost yoga awareness | India Today

To boost up the yoga movement in India and to aware people about its importance, a non profit organization based in Ghaziabad is holding up International Ayuryog Film Festival. This is going to be the second such festival, first being held by the same trust in March 2017.

What is the Ayuryog Film Festival about?

Basically the festival is a film contest where anyone can submit one film with English subtitles.

Topics

The theme of the film must be ‘Health and Wellness’ and the participants can choose any topic from the following:

  • Power of Ayurveda
  •  The journey of Ayurveda
  •  Ayurveda in modern perspective
  •  Yoga as a lifestyle
  •  Power of Yoga
  •  The journey of Yoga
  •  Yoga in modern perspective
  •  Power of Meditation
  •  Yoga for young professionals
  •  Environment for Human Life
  •  Pollution impact on Environment
  •  Protecting Our Health by Saving Environment

The duration of the film cannot be more than 10 minutes.

Judges

A number of parameters are set to judge the entries. The jury for this edition of the film festival will be:

  • Neeraj Suji — Producer
  • Nirmal Vaid — Chairman of Paridhi Art Group
  • Amitava Bhattacharya — Accredited to Government of India Press Information Bureau

Aim of this festival

As stated by Namo Gange Trust, the aim of this festival is “… to aware the people about Yoga, Ayurveda, Nature, Health & Wellness through the medium of films and to foster integration in society by spreading the message of importance of Yoga by saving environment for human life and well being.”

Venue

The venue of the 2nd Ayuryog Film Festival is ITS College, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Prize

Apart from a certificate of participation in the festival, top 3 entries will get a cash prize.

  • 1st prize – 51000
  • 2nd prize – 31000
  • 3rd prize – 11000

Also, the Ayuryog film festival will recognize the awards for best director, best storyline, best camera, best editing, best acting in male, best acting in female, best concept, and best animation.
