BJP minister Prakash Javadekar says Rahul Gandhi’s temple spree is pseudo-Hinduism | India Today

Hitting out at Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s campaign rally in North Karnataka where he has been visiting temples after temples as well as mosques, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar – who is also the state BJP’s election in-charge for the high-stakes Karnataka Assembly polls – said that people in the state are able to understand what is an election gimmick and what is true devotion.

According to Javadekar, the Congress leader is on a temple spree and now even the party’s advertisements are in saffron.

But he wholeheartedly welcomed Rahul Gandhi to campaign in Karnataka saying, “Wherever he goes for an election campaign, Congress loses and the BJP wins.”

He further questioned Rahul Gandhi’s temple visits by saying he wanted to know why Rahul did not visit any temples in Delhi when he became Congress president which was the most important day in his life.

The Congress on the other hand wondered why Rahul Gandhi visiting a mandir or masjid was an issue for the BJP with Karnataka information technology minister Priyank Kharge saying, “Does the BJP think we are treading in places where we are not supposed to go?”

Rahul is on a four-day visit to Karnataka on his ‘Janashirvada Yatra.’ During his yatra, he attacked Prime Minister Modi by asking him to stop giving speeches on the past and start working.
