Yoga classes for govt. school teachers – The Hindu
There was good response to the special yoga classes conducted by the district Educational Department for the benefit of teachers of government schools in Karimnagar town on Friday.
The Educational Department conducted two-day special yoga classes for two teachers from each government school, including Zilla Parishad School, Model School, Government High School, UPS, and KGBVs. The programme was inaugurated by Additional Joint Collector A. Nagendra.
The yoga classes would be also conducted for the teachers of Huzurabad, Peddapalli, Jagtial and Sircilla divisions on Saturday and Sunday. The teachers who undergo yoga training would impart the same to the students in their respective schools.
Yoga the best exercise
Speaking after inaugurating the yoga camp in Karimnagar town, Mr. Nagendra said that the yoga was the best exercise for healthy living. The practice of yoga would help students concentrate on their studies and improve their performance in the examinations.
The Mysuru Datta Peetam’s Datta Kriya yoga international experts would be providing training to the teachers. District Education Officer S. Srinivasa Chary and Indian Medical Association district president P. Kishan, among others, were also present.
