Woman donates half of her property to temple | Times of India
MAHALINGAPUR, BAGALKOTA: A woman, who recently won legal battle for the property of her husband, has donated 50 per cent of her treasure to a temple in Karnataka’s Rannabelagali in Mahalingapur area.
amyavva Lakshmana Puranika on Tuesday donated the gold eye, weighing around 10 gms and Rs 5.50 lakh in cash, to the Bandalakshmi Temple.
After her husband’s death, Puranika was living at her parental home Mugalakhoda for the past 40 years.
A banquet (bhojan) was also arranged for the devotees during the donation.
