Ujjain: Shwetambar Jain community participates in ‘hawan’ ceremony

Ujjain: Members of the Shwetambar Jain community participated in a ‘hawan’ ceremony conducted at Manakgadhi temple on March 12. Vishwaratna Sagarji who was a present during the ceremony, blessed the attendees. The function, which is in its 109th year was organised by Yakshendra Manibhadra Siddhvat Dham Trust. Santosh Chhajed said devotees from Mumbai, Gujarat and all over Madhya Pradesh attended the 3 hour long ceremony during which which 109 offerings were made into the ‘hawan’.

Vishwaratna Sagarji also delivered a religious discourse and educated the devotees on the significance of ‘hawan’. Veer Alap Bhai donated a silver ‘chhatra’ and a ‘toran’ to the temple. Families of Mishrilal Jain, Jayantilal Telwala, Nemichand Jain, Amit Bhansali, Rajesh Dagwala, Abhay Jain, Ravindra Katariya were present during the ceremony along with other community members.
