Shravan 2017: Devotees offer prayers on the first Monday of holy month | News Nation

The Auspicious month Of Sawan begins today. All Mondays or Somwar(s) which fall during the Shravan month also called Sawan month in the North Indian states hold immense significance.

This has a special significance for devotees of Lord Shiva. Shravan begins from the first day of the full moon and ends in the third week of August.
