Sri Erumbeeswarar Temple at Tiruverumbur celebrates Vaikasi Visagam festival
Devotees pulled the car of Sri Erumbeeswarar Temple at Tiruverumbur near here on Tuesday as part of the Vaikasi Visagam festival. The processional deities of Lord Siva and His Consort were brought to the temple car and devotees pulled the car through the car streets at about 9.15 a.m. It was brought to rest a couple of hours later. The Vaikasi festival commenced on May 29 with the hoisting of holy flag and the car festival marked the ninth day celebrations. In the evening, the idol of Lord Nataraja was taken out in the procession.
