Officials told to protect temple lands
Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar ordered the officials to take steps for protecting the temple lands in the district.
He chaired a review meeting with the officials here at Collectorate conference hall in Khammam on Wednesday.
Speaking in the meeting, the Collector ordered the officials to take measures for protecting the temple lands present in the district from being encroached.
He asked the officials concerned to prepare a detailed report of the lands present under various temples in each village and in mandal of the district according to survey number, and to take immediate actions against the persons found encroaching the temple lands.
The Collector also ordered the officials to inspect lands regularly to protect them from being encroached apart from maintaining the records perfectly.
District Joint Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy, Endowment Assistant Commissioner Rajendar, Bhadrachalam Endowment Officer Ramesh Babu and EO’s of various temples attended the meeting.
