New gold jewel for Lord Venkateswara
The TTD Trust Board has decided to get a new ‘Sahasra Nama Kasula Haram’ for Lord Venkateswara.
The TTD board of trustees which met here on Tuesday resolved to invite open tenders for the making of the new jewel at a cost of ₹11 crore. About 30 kg of gold is expected to go into the making of the precious jewel. According to sources, a US-based NRI Ramalinga Raju has already donated $20,27,650 towards the making of the jewel.
