No semen in Holi balloon: lab report | The Hindu

The Delhi Police on Tuesday confirmed that forensic tests found no traces of semen or any chemical substance on the clothes of the LSR College students who had alleged that semen-filled balloons were hurled at them on the eve of Holi.

DCP (South) Romil Baniya said a Forensic Science Laboratory report has stated that no semen could be detected on the clothes sent for examination. The balloons thrown at the women were filled with some coloured substance mixed with water, stated the report.

On February 28, two LSR College students had filed separate complaints at Greater Kailash police station against unknown persons for throwing liquid-filled balloons, which they suspected contained semen. During investigation, the clothes of the complainants worn at the time of the incident were taken and sent to FSL for examination. Mr. Baniya said that it was a misunderstanding which has been cleared after the report. Still throwing balloons is a violation of Section 144, he added.
