TTD to develop Vontimitta Temple at a cost of Rs 100 cr – The New Indian Express

TIRUPATI /KADAPA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is mulling spending Rs 100 crore in a phased manner for the development of Kodanda Ramalayam of Vontimitta in Kadapa. The ancient temple has gained prominence after the state bifurcation as AP has decided to conduct the Ramanavami celebrations officially at the temple. During his visit to the temple at Vontimitta on Wednesday, TTD Board chairman Chadalawada Krishna Murthy said that after merger of Kodanda Ramalayam into TTD, Rs 100 crore fund was sanctioned for its development.  “The officials of National Monument Authority (NMA) gave guidelines to the TTD for carrying out works like landscaping, gardening, plantation and other beautification works,” he said.
