Students group to launch drive to promote Sanskrit | Times of India

VADODARA: A group of students under the banner of ‘Bhavya Bharat’ have launched a campaign named ‘Sanskrut se Sanskruti’ to promote use of Sanskrit language in the city.

The target of the campaign is to reach to the common citizens of the city by a unique approach of naming the common visited places in Sanskrit.

It will make the citizens Sanskrit-friendly in the upcoming days. The naming will be done and stickers will be pasted on particular places, institutes, offices, objects or the shops across the city.

The campaign has been initiated by students – Munjal Soni, Rangam Trivedi, Vedant Thaker and others.
The campaign will also be supported by the people from all walks of life including religious, social, literary, administrative as well as political leaders.
“In the first phase, we will be naming auto-rickshaws, traffic management booths, provision stores, restaurants, hospitals, banks, garment shops, multiplexes and medical stores among others,” said Trivedi.
“Sanskrit is the soul of our culture. The world has accepted it and respected it and so it is our moral duty to maintain the status of that language which is our own,” he said.
