Seethanagaram temple works complete – The Hindu
Archaeology and Museums Department director G V Ramakrisna Rao on Friday said renovation of the ancient Seethanagaram temple on the banks of river Krishna in Guntur District was complete. “We spent Rs. 5 lakh for the renovation and the temple is ready to cater to the needs of pilgrims visiting the temple after taking a holy dip.”
About the ongoing projects taken up by the department for the puhkarams with an administration sanction of the Rs. 85 lakhs, he said the chemical treatment and the minor repairs at the Vaishnava temple at Avanigadda and Srikakulendhra Vishnu temple at Srikakulam were nearing completion. “Both are big temples. The work needs a lot of diligence and patience. By Friday we will able to complete them”.
He said the renovation of the first floor at the Boudhasri Archaeological Museum in Amaravati to establish a gallery was over and the gallery would be thrown open to pilgrims in a day or two.
