Light & sound show on temple premises | The Times of India
PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will organize a light and sound show on the Moraya Gosavi temple premises in Chinchwadgaon in three phases at a cost of Rs9 crore. The temple compound, located along the Pavana river, is quite large.
Landscaping and gardening will be undertaken on the river stretch at the premises of Mangalmurti Wada, Chapekar sculptures, Ganpati Visarjan ghat, and Thergaon boat club to Ravet basket bridge.
There was no financial provision for this work in the municipal budget in 2017-18 but the PCMC is expected to make a special allocation for the light and sound show. Various spiritual and devotional themes of Moraya Gosavi will be presented in the light and sound show, civic officials said.
The 456th Sanjeevan Samadhi festival of Mahasadhu Moraya Gosavi was held between November 27 and December 8 last year. Blood donation and health camps, classical music festivals, among other events, were held during the festival.
PCMC has proposed a plan to develop and rejuvenate Pavana and Indrayani rivers. While it will take a year for the private consultant to prepare a feasibility study report for both rivers, implementation of the planned works will start in five years.
The consultant would have to prepare presentations through 3D walk-throughs, and include river development concepts such as heritage conservation, cultural use, greenery, beautification, and landscaping, depending on the characteristics of the rivers.
