Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh Thursday said that the English language was “dominating” the world today and there is a need to translate Vedas into simple Hindi, in order to take their message to the masses and attract people towards the scriptures and Sanskrit.Inaugurating the three-day International Vedic Conference here, Singh said, “All the scriptures written in India are in Sanskrit. But slowly, the era changed… People say that Sanskrit is difficult, but when they first sat to learn English, did it seem easy? English used to appear difficult but it spread gradually, and today, it is dominating.”
“How would the common man know that the Vedas have shakti? They don’t know Sanskrit,” he said.
