Consecration of 108 divyadesams on April 5 | The Hindu

The consecration of Sri Alarmelu manga Samedha Sri Vaaru Venkatesa Perumal temple, Sri Koilpuram, Thiruvadisoolam, Chingleput, Kanchipuram district, and of the deities from the 108 divyadesams, installed at separate niches inside the premises, will be performed on April 5, between 8.25 a.m. to 10.15 a.m.

The consecration of Sri Alarmelu manga Samedha Sri Vaaru Venkatesa Perumal temple, Sri Koilpuram, Thiruvadisoolam, Chingleput, Kanchipuram district, and of the deities from the 108 divyadesams, installed at separate niches inside the premises, will be performed on April 5, between 8.25 a.m. to 10.15 a.m.

On account of the samprokshanam, the utsava idols, the sacred waters and the temple umbrellas from 108 divyadesams will be taken out in a procession from Sri Parthasarathy Temple, Triplicane, on March 30 to reach Thiruvadisoolam on April 5.

The festivities will begin on April 1 with the rendition of Pancha Suktam and Maha Sudarsana homam at 7 a.m. The rituals in connection with the consecration will include special thirumanjanam for the deities, homams, thiruvaradhanam and Veda parayanam. The rituals on the day of consecration (April 5) will include divyaprabandham and granta recitation in the morning. Thirukalyana utsavam will take place at 4.30 p.m.
