Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali products will now be available on Flipkart, Amazon & Paytm Mall

aba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda is set to sail from Haridwar to Har Dwar even as the yoga guru, on Tuesday, announced partnerships with leading e-commerce websites like Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm Mall and others. Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali products were, well until now, available for buying via traditional brick and mortar stores and online via its own portal patanjaliayurved.net. Going forward, however, most – if not all – of these products will be available via more online channels, thereby extending their reach to a wider audience.

Patanjali products, it must be known, are already available for buying via a number of e-commerce websites, but, all these products are sold via third-party vendors. With Patanjali joining the online commerce bandwagon, Baba Ramdev’s Swadeshi range of Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products, will reach directly to potential buyers. This will also probably entail in better service, and pricing that’s more in line with what Patanjali Ayurveda asks for.

“Utmost care has been taken to ensure (the) Swadeshi movement and it has been ensured that Patanjali products reach into every home without compromising on policies and business ethics,” Baba Ramdev said during a function organized by Patanjali to mark the announcement. The function was attended Patanjali MD Acharya Balkrishna as well as dignitaries from all the online companies that are on-board.

The list, besides Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm Mall, also includes Big Basket, Grofers, netmeds, 1mg, Shopclues, and others.

“This would change the scenario of whole FMCG trade through online” Baba Ramdev added.

Patanjali’s push for online sales also stems from the fact that the Haridwar-based firm has received tremendous response from people across the board on social media, seemingly suggesting there’s a huge untapped market on the medium. With increasing access to affordable Internet and smartphones becoming more affordable by the day, it was only about time that online sales reached a resounding crescendo. E-commerce brings convenience right to the buyer’s doorstep and with Patanjali joining in, it is only expected to grow further.
