Another thief has been arrested by the police on the Golden Temple premises while stealing a wallet of a devotee.
The accused was identified as Harpreet Singh of the Kot Mit Singh area.Complainant Rajwinder Singh told the police that he was taking a dip in a holy sarovar near Dukh Bhanjni Beri, when the accused stole his wallet and tried to flee away.
However, he saw him and raised an alarm.The devotees in the Parikarma caught hold of him and later handed him over to the SGPC task force.
He was later handed over to the Galliara police chowki. Earlier this month, the police have arrested Gulbagh Singh of the Sultanwind road area for a similar crime. He was held while stealing a mobile phone of a devotee from Mansa. — TNS
