Members of the expert committee consisting of Agama Shastra Pandits reportedly offered suggestions to noted architect Anand Sai regarding enhancement of the spiritual ambience while retaining the architectural grandeur of the historic Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple. Mr. Sai has been entrusted with the task of fine-tuning the draft master plan for the development of the famous temple in Bhadrachalam.
He held discussions with the members of the expert committee, officials and engineers of the Endowments Department on the temple development plan for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
According to temple sources, the meeting deliberated on the need for using good quality stones to construct the proposed kitchen, Nitya Kalyana Mandapam and making slight modifications to a few structures along the temple complex in line with the temple traditions.
It was decided in the meeting that the draft master plan be presented to noted spiritual leader Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for his expert advice before submitting the final design to the State government in a few weeks, temple sources said.
The temple authorities are hopeful that the master plan will get the nod of the State government soon, pavingway for the comprehensive development of the historic shrine at an estimated outlay of ₹ 100 crore.
