Festive makeover: This Janmashtami, ISKCON’s idols don designer wear – Times of India

ALLAHABAD: This year’s Janmashtami celebration would be special at ISKCON temple.

Authorities of the temple are preparing designer outfits for the idols at a cost of Rs 1.5lakh to be taken out in tableaux. A designer has made the outfits by using gold and silver thread along with gem stones.

It has taken hours of careful embroidery and stitching, said the artist.

Beautifully crafted in bright blue, yellow and golden colour, the outfit would be a treat to watch for the devotees, he added.

ISKCON will be celebrating Janmashtami on a large scale on Thursday at the temple premises in Baluaghat, said temple president HG Advaita Acharya Das. Anuj Khanna
