Mumbai : A dance item insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is going to be shown on ‘Colors Marathi’ TV channel, is the information posted on social websites and it is learnt that in this dance item, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj would be shown as dancing with Afzal Khan. A complaint has also been lodged by ‘Shri Shivapratishthan’ with Vile Parle police station. (Will Hindus tolerate improper depiction of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a seat of worship of Hindus, over TV news channels in a country where Hindus are in majority ? Will these TV channels dare to show any item related to distortion of seats of worship of non-Hindus ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
It has been stated in the complaint lodged with police that
1. It has been understood that on 27th and 28th February, a music program called ‘Don (two) Mad’ is going to be telecast on ‘Colors Marathi’ news channel in which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, revered all over Maharashtra, will be shown dancing with Afzal Khan. This cannot be tolerated by Shivaji-patrons.
2. If this channel shows a ballad on slaying of Afzal Khan, there will be no objection; but if the channel tried to show Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as dancing only to increase ‘TRP’ of the channel, such attempts would be foiled. Please take necessary action taking note of the same and stop the program’s telecast.
